Ever since i discovered KFC - Korean fried chicken, I've made a point to search for these places wherever I go (since I don't have it anywhere near my neck of the woods). Since I was back to my neighborhood growing up in Fremont, I found Vons Chicken as a place to go and sit down for lunch. Being it my first time, I went to the counter thinking I have to place the order first before sitting. Not the case, the Vons employee kindly told me to take a seat and gave me a menu to order. There was way too many chicken options to choose from and I wish I would have mixed and match. But because you can't, I stuck with Menu Order B along with a side of cheddar fries. I would have chosen one of the other chicken wings but I wanted to make sure I had fried chicken and not one soaked and sticky with sauce. I thought the chicken was great. A lot of pieces of chicken for the price for one person. I was pleasantly surprised by the cheddar fries since that's the first time I've had something new and unique. Definitely felt like seasoning from Doritos nachos and I liked it alot. Since I was visiting family, I ordered another half chicken (he wanted Crispy garlic )for my brother to take to him. Overall, I enjoyed my sit down chicken meal and just wished I had gotten rice to go along with it. Service was great at the Fremont location and they were busy with sit down orders and pick up

One of the best Korean fried chicken spots in the area! I come to this place every month when I crave Korean fried chicken. I usually get the honey butter flavor, which is more on the sweet side. It pairs well with the radish side dish. If I want something more saucey and spicy, I'd opt for the Yang-Nyum flavor. Has a great kick to it, similar flavor to the Buldak ramen packets. Chicken itself is always really crispy and juicy. Their pricing isn't too bad either, you get a good amount of food for what you pay for. Definitely coming back soon!

Yummm~ I was craving their honey butter chicken the other day and so I decided to treat myself to a full size portion of the combo (both wings and drumsticks). We ordered it through Uber. Last time I got a half portion to share and it was just barely enough so this time I splurged and got the full and I am so glad I did! I devoured probably 5 or 6 pieces on my own. I will say that I usually prefer wings over drumsticks for fried chicken but for the honey butter I almost feel like it's a better deal and stronger honey butter flavor to just get the drumsticks. We had to pay a dollar extra for wings even though it's probably less meat and the flavor tasted less strong. So next time I order I'll probably go for just all drumsticks. Love the honey butter flavor and it's what keeps me coming back!

This has always been our go to fried chicken, whenever I crave some for korean fried chicken. We always go here, I always order the honey butter chicken wings. That's my family's favorite.

I order from this place every 2 weeks like clock work. My favorite is the cheddar wings. When you order online they are soooo darn quick. Like 5 to 10 mins from place of order and they are done and still hot as when you leave. I really wish they drown the chicken in that cheddar powder like it was caked on. Will someone tell me what goes into that addictive powder?

5010 Mowry Ave Fremont, CA 94538 This was my first time at Vons Chicken in Fremont! I was there 30 mins before closing. They said I could only order takeout, as they were preparing to close. Okay, no problem! I ordered: Half Order of Real Garlic Crispy Fried Chicken, Mix Wings and Drums. Price $15.99. They said it would be ready in 10-mins. When I got my chicken, it was hot and fresh from the fryer. OMG, there's nothing like fresh and hot fried chicken! Super crispy and crunchy....so good! The wings and drums were meaty. I forgot to count how many I had in the order. The one negative thing was the garlic sauce flavor. It was very mild, and a bit of a let down. I was expecting a spicy garlicky bite, but it was very mild. I wonder if I had a choice between mild and spicy garlic sauce. They didn't ask when they took my order. Service was friendly and polite. The restaurant has a small dining room and an outside patio with umbrellas for shade. Vons Chicken is in the Lucky's shopping center, a few doors away from Starbucks and Menchie's Frozen Yogurt. Lots of free parking.

This place holds a special place in my heart because it was where I had my second date with my boyfriend. We ordered the Crispy Fried Chicken with Honey Butter and the Crispy Fried Chicken with Cheddar. The Honey Butter version had a delightful buttery powder sprinkled on top, which made the dish absolutely delicious! It was like a perfect blend of fried chicken and karage, a combination that's quite rare. The chicken was juicy and not at all dry, and the sprinkled powder added an extra burst of flavor. The restaurant itself was spacious, clean, and well-lit. Although we dined there for dinner, the bright ambiance made it feel like lunch, which might suggest they have nothing to hide--just great chicken! The service was quick, and we received our food in no time. The chicken was so good that we finished it quickly and were in and out in less than 30 minutes, even though we were taking our time. The restaurant is located in a convenient complex with plenty of parking available. I look forward to returning soon!
